Security Sales

Does anyone else on here sell to the Infosec or Security suite. What's some tips/tricks/thoughts you have on this particular industry. Where have you seen the most success in white space, or do all CISO's just hate sales people.

Most CISOs hate salespeople. The key to success is having a great product, a trusted brand, and leveraging the hell out of word of mouth and referrals. If you can get a few influential customers to advocate for your product you can grow your business. If you're relying on cold outreach and no one has heard of your company you're in for a bad time. Also, avoid all FUD in marketing and as part of your sales process. If you claim anything like "We could've stopped X attack" you're going to be ridiculed.

This right here. Had to call a lot of CISOs for a project I worked on and they are not a friendly bunch to put it niely

I'm also lucky to have a team of former CISOs at my disposal. Many prospects who would've blown me off are happy to chat with one of their own. I can be a fly on the wall and take what I've learned to launch a more strategic sales campaign.
