Selling my product to a company I want to work for

I was approached by a POC who is now at a company I would love to work for. Startup, innovative idea, something I can really get on board with but they want to purchase the product I have.

Scenario A: Do I position the sale in a way that makes me look like I'm doing them a solid (discount, free trials, etc.)

Or

Scenario B: Do I play hardball drive it home like I do all my sales and prove that I'm the man they want working for them.

Curious to get your all's thoughts and opinions.

Thanks

Yeah definitely not A. You don't want them to view you as a week sales person if you want to turn around and try to get a job there. Like @InQ5WeTrust said, run the fuck out of it and show them whatchugot

No marketing, mayo isn't an MQL
Quid pro quos are usually viewed as a big no no in sales especially by senior peeps.

I'd run the fuck out of that sale and blow them away with your process.

No favors is sales. It separates the men from the boys. If you can't sell it, then find something else to do. Go with Scenario B.

B all the way, with a little of A. Show them who you are as a sales rep, and by working as you do, you were able to give them something of high value.

There is also a scenario C: Where you don't "sell" but instead you "solve", sounds cheesy like something a sweaty, overworked McDonalds manager would say, but hear me out. Do everything you can to understand their company, it's circumstances/needs/desires/budget so well that you literally don't give them a reason to "play hardball". Paint them into a corner by using their "needs" to "solve" their problem, with your product/service.

End of the day, this is just one man's 2 cents. Best of luck

B but be really consultative about it, manage that process like an interview. Drop some hints and you’re halfway there :)

Never shorts. I recommend keeping changes in your desk/car/whatever you have. And you wear a tie every day? By choice or no? Because ditching the tie alone will make a big difference.
