I’ve never done this because I’ve seen all the smileys :) that an AE on the team sends and I feel so awkward reading the emails / texts.

Depends on the relationship. Prospect... Total edge case.

I'm with you, it depends, but I have used some and was able to get some laughs. It's situational.

I'll send the odd smiley face to a prospect I'm cool with. Nothing beyond that though.

Absolutely. There was a period of time (about three months to be exact) where I would only communicate via text with cat gifs. No actual words.

To everyone.

At first, people just thought I was strange but then all of my clients, prospects, influencers started loving it and doing it themselves. I even got Mitt Romney on board (except he used baby goats lol).

Granted, this was 2017(?).

I will do it if they do it first. That's my rule of thumb. You will see some small business owners do it from time to time but anyone in a bigger organization you don't see it that often.

Nope. Never.

Ok...maybe if they have been an account for a long time and I have a long-standing relationship with the contact(s), more on a personal level.

I've had a few prospects send back GIFs/Memes, and that is the only time I will respond with one

Yup. I got a go to gif when I sense that they start becoming hesitant. Works every time.

I do. But it's an authentic and natural way for me to communicate. I personally think the emojis help with tone in an email, and if my prospects have made it to teams with me we're close enough to share gifs.

There may be a lot of opinions here, but I think it really depends on the seller and the prospect as to when it's an appropriate way to communicate.

The only emojis I send over to my clients is the checkmark emoji after the initial meeting with the expectations/itinerary to show we completed each action item.

I ask if they agree with everything I have checked off, and what they would like to cover in the next meeting.

My highest open and response rate is on my final email in the sequence that is funny and has a gif! Hands down, it fucking works. Numbers don't lie

I've got a sequence converting at 14% reply rate currently which has gifs in it, circa 500 prospects in it atm. Highest converting in the company.

From what I've found india responds quite well to gifs/video prospecting as they like the personalised touch point.

I tried emojis in my emails to old prospects - 50% response rate. It was a crazy response! I did the red emergency sign - a new place to call home in text then a home emoji. 50%
