Sent agreement then crickets?

Hey everyone, looking for some advice on this. Went through whole sales process and last thing prospect said is "thanks for discount, lets get this done. send the agreement and we'll get it through this month so we can start implementing in July". That was 8 days ago. I sent agreement this Monday morning. I can see in Pandadoc that he hasn't even viewed it. I sent follow up email Wednesday asking him to confirm he received it and still no response. No answer to calls either.

Any advice on what you would do?

I normally say something like: "I have our resources on standby ready to go, once we the OF processed we can kick it off! Do you have any updates on when you think it will come through so I can let the team know?"

Make it sound like his silence is now impacting more than just you. He could have just had an emergency OOO come up or something, that actually happened to me this week. I am waiting on an OF and have been hounding my champion, only to find out she took last minute PTO for "personal reasons" and I felt like a dick.

this is a good call. You can also resend the order form through DocuSign to bump it up

"I want to respect your time. When can I expect to receive the signed agreement and start the onboarding process?"

Depending on the company structure he is probably trying to get the CEO/CFO/COO all to sign off and that shit can take awhile. He is also thinking that he already told you "by this month" - it's June 11th so he still has a few weeks. Next time you put a proposal out you need to guide them and provide next steps clearly. Send the documents via Docusign and have them expire after 48hrs to put some sort of urgency on there.ย

Do you have a compelling event to leverage a response? Such as a discount expiration? Can you leverage a negative consequence that will occur if they don't move forward and get implementation kicked off by July?

You need to drive urgency, but a follow-up with "hey, where's my contract" isn't going to net anything but more crickets. Start to pull some triggers and see if you can get them to move off of their position.

Try to agree a specific date that he should get it back to you next time. Explain him that that is needed to prep your team for the implementation (create some urgency).ย

Also ask about their internal processes to get it signed. That way you know for example why it could take that long.ย

I've also had success by just blind sending a calendar invite after you've reached out a number of times.
