Setting up new distribution “rules”

Have you every had distributors selling along side you? What’s the easiest way to keep everyone playing nice? I’ve tried the “keep what you kill approach” and while it works, there’s notable discontent from a larger group that moves a lot of our products. Long story short, we want to keep the big guys happy while keeping the up and coming teams fed. Thanks for your insight!
