SFDC vs Hubspot

Just accepted a new role and this org uses Hubspot as their CRM.

I've used SFDC my whole career so this will be new. anyone else made the transition? any tips or tricks that help?

Just in general thoughts on one vs the other?

Never used HS but have heard it's great for start ups.

I have used both. SFDC plays well and integrates with a lot more. It is easier to scale and leverage for more granular reporting and dashboards.

Hubspot is a lean tool that is great for marketing to create drip and campaigns.

Hubspot works well for small startups that dont need a lot of integration or workflows in sales.

I like SFDC better, but Hubspot does the trick at a more affordable price point

I'm biased, but SFDC is great because its so flexible. However, you def need an admin to set it up. I've also had colleagues tell me horror stories of bad data, or stealing clients in SF because its easy to create fake accounts or bad data. Not sure if thats a SF problem, but Hubs is great for 0-50 sales employees. More than 50 sales reps, SFDC I'd say is the way to go.

I hated Hubspot but probably because that company was a shitshow and nothing worked there so it was likely set up like shit.

Also because I used it as a sales outreach tool not only as a CRM.

As a CRM it was decent and agree with others about it being good for startups.

As a sales outreach tool, it was shit, thousands of levels below Salesloft.

Salesforce, if set up properly. Their resources are endless.

HubSpot is known for their marketing automation first. Typically, that's their focus. Their CRM is easy to use, but difficult for a company to grow with.

I guess it's all about what you're looking to accomplish. What outcomes you're expecting - all that jazz.

SFDC definitely the more powerful and expansive option, but if your company practices bad hygiene or is lazy with it can be an absolute headache trying to sort out.

Plenty of companies that have built a business model out of cleaning up SF hygiene because it can become that bad without good hygiene and guidance in place.

Hubspot is much simpler than SFDC. If it's a small team, simple sales process, and it's been setup well, you may even like Hubspot better.

Most orgs run into problems with Hubspot when their sales process evolves or they grow their team because you can't customize very much, the integrations are limited, and data becomes hard to manage with the more limited functionality.

I have no real complaints about HubSpot.

SFDC is great, but so bloated and overkill for so many organizations.

It really depends on the rest of the tech stack. Salesforce has integrations with lots of other tools but Hubspot will certainly do the trick. Simpler solution for sales is typically best until your sales, marketing, ops org gets more sophisticated.

True, Hubspot doesn't integrate with SalesNav for instance.
