My company mandates I "check in" via survey every week.

I had that for a while on a Google sheet weekly.  It was spectacularly juvenile the way they treated a very experienced team of reps--management by spreadsheet

Not at all, it's shared with my manager (and who knows how many more people above him). We're supposed to discuss it every week in my 1x1. I stopped filling them out and no one has seemed to notice.

I didn't do my yearly review.  Nothing. It's amazing how much shit they make you do and never look at.

I work at a small start-up and our entire company uses a project management tool. It seems like it's more so the founders can see that everyone is working, but I don't need a "book x meetings" task on a project management software every week to make sure I hit my number.
But if I don't update it on Fridays then I hear about it on Monday..

Waste of time, we have a CRM with dashboards for a reason, just look at the numbers on there and you'll know.
