Short memory in sales?

How do you keep a short memory?

It seems like management never remembers the big months but always seems to remember the not so big months.

With always starting from 0, how do you keep a short memory every month/quarter?

The most important thing to remember is that the results of the month you are in, are based on the work you did months ago.  Execute the process, build ridiculously solid habits and you'll never feel like you are at "zero".   If you approach selling like a career, (a giant mountain that you climb one step up everyday, you'll always be fulfilled, if you are a quota chaser, riding the highs and lows of months and quarters, you'll crack under the stress.

Track all of your sales, remember the company is just the vehicle for your success. Atta-boys are nice, but commission is better. Celebrate with your crew, surround yourself with other sellers who get it and be there for one another. A little cheesy but its a decent outlet.

When you have a good experience you tell 1 person, when you have a bad you tell 100. Same mentality with management, they are there for themselves you should be too.

(take it with a grain of salt)

always more business out there to grab.  Lose one, might win 2 more.

I feel like there is an argument that they are some of the best brand salespeople out there... little bit of a stretch but its they live in a day to day of "losing the business" so they have to resell themselves with every appearance.
