Should I be following up or letting go?

I did all the things lol the thank you emails after interviews (3 rounds) got a "verbal" offer through email last month from HR and was told Id get a official offer email contract by end of day. Never happened so I sent a follow up email and was reassured it would be end of week! Okay cool. No big deal until it never happened. HM reached out to apologize and say it'll happened eow again and within the hour HR followed up with an update that it'd be eow as well. Never happened! So now its been almost a month and no official offer letter. The actual company benefits and many other factors are exactly what I want but should I be giving it one more follow up or just moving right along from hope they'll send a letter? Or is another follow-up begging at this point? I want the job but I've honestly loss some zeal behind the drag along. What you guys think?

Follow up or not?

If this is happening when you haven't even joined, imagine the things you'd go through if you get in.

I'd move on. Not worth it.

I'm with @AgastyaAdamson this one. Sometimes the grass isn't always greener on the other side. Not sure what other factors are appealing to you for this role but benefits shouldn't be that high as a deciding factor IMO. Culture should be and based on how they're treating you, I'm not sure I'd want to plant my flag there. You got a glimpse of how they operate. I'd take it for what its worth and move on. I'm sure there are plenty of other companies that would love to have you that are similar to what they do and offer.

This seems shady. I'd reach out to HR and hiring manager and say: what gives?

You can't wait forever

I thought so too! But I was like overthinking it cause it’s a great company but I guess no company is exempt from bs behavior

Hate I wasted 3 time slots on the interviews

I just got the offer in writing! I read somewhere Tuesday is the most common offer day but wtf I'm stoked it even happened after almost a month... stunned but stoked nonetheless

Hote take: They don't have a role they are trying to fill and just don't want to tell you "no" because they want you on the team eventually.

Id move on.

Follow up one more time if it makes you feel better, then move on.

Keep lining up interviews at other companies but continue to follow up with them. HR is almost always useless. Have you tried calling?

Can you connect with the hiring manager?   Maybe they have some insight into the issue with HR.

This is kind of a red flag.
BUT
Since it sounds like a great spot for you,
I would keep following up.
I would also mention that you have other offers that become more appealing the longer this process takes.

Yes, they seem beyond disorganized.  However I'd hang in there cause "what do you have to lose?"

Have you reached out to your future boss?  HR is always going to be cagey about things since they take orders from other people.  So I think reaching out to your future boss is the way to go at this point.

dead lead means the person actually died. and when they tell you that ask who is handling it now and keep moving forward.

Was is Jungle Book Store? Sounds a lot like Jungle Book Store. Recruiter ghosted after I did questionnaire. Followed up, "oh yeah" phone screen. Then video interview. Then loop. Then nothing. I followed up a week after they said they'd get back to me... removed position and didn't tell me.

No wasn’t them but ironically after I posted this HR sent the official letter so I’m pretty stoked they didn’t string me along for no reason

If this is how they treat a would-be new employee, imagine how they treat current folks.
