Should I be using a Sales Engagement tool? (Salesloft or Outreach, etc)

Looking for some advice from my fellow Salespeople.

I work in a small SaaS company. I am the only official Sales Person and most of my leads are inbound. I am also tasked with doing other things like marketing and helping with roadmaps etc.

I want to bring in more leads to the pipeline in the most efficient way possible. My issue is that when I create a lead list and decide on a plan of action it becomes very hard to stick to my timelines because I am doing everything manually, emails, calls, linkedin, etc. Then at the end of that I don't really have metrics on what worked and what didn't.

I'm considering getting a tool like Salesloft or Outreach, but it's hard to tell if either of these will really help me without ever having used it.

What do people hear think? Is having "cadences" built out on one of these platforms a game-changer? If so, what do people like better Salesloft, Outreach, or something else entirely?

Thanks!

Hmmmโ€ฆ big piece of tech for a small fish. Youre going to have to bolt on a lot of tech and go through a ton of set up to get it function correctly. In similar roles in the past, ive used Hubspot CRM that has a built in outreach process as well as the ability to easily manage all marketing campaigns and give complete visibility on the contact profile

Hubspot is easier to use and set up for a small org.

100% correct, hut it works just as grest for a 100 person sales org. Where it fails is for those complex sales orgs that have wayyy too many hands in on the deal process. BDR to SDR to AE then a SE comes in then implemenation, etc etc

If your company is using HubSpot for the CRM, it does have an okay sales enablement tool within it and could potentially still allow some oversight into marketing work as well, but my personal favorite is Outreach. The sequences/cadences tools within Salesloft and Outreach are a game changer for creating a more automated way to do sales. Personally I'd be a mess without it

Any insight into Salesloft vs. outreach?

I used both in the past and salesloft is a bit more intuitive and easier to operate. If you are looking however to solve your visibility pain, outreach has better dashboards and insights imo. Both suck with service when things go wrong. Also both are way more expensive than the smaller players.

I really think so, but really try to envision yourself in the tool compared to your existing day to day.ย

You should definitely consider Sales Engagement.ย

Sequences can help you reach out to many many prospects in half the time, so from a volume standpoint it definitely is a game changer. It combines automation with personalized messaging that makes your outbound a well oiled machine.ย

Check these tools out too instead of Outreach and Salesloft as well.ย

1. Outplay
2. Groove
3. Reply.io
4. Mixmax

I actually work for one of these companies and wanna book a meeting so bad wy right now, but I'm gonna keep the sanctity of the place :)ย

All the best for your search mate. Each of these tools cater to something specific so be sure to take trials of each tools and see what fits your use case.ย

No question you should use one, this scenario is exactly why these platforms exist. I just bought Groove.io for my team and replace salesloft. Check out Groove too.ย
