I prefer monthly, Feedback gets delivered quicker, when you are comparing month by month than quarter to quarter, So it's easier for manager's to keep track of performance. 

I think the true balance is monthly quota and quarterly goals.

We take the same approach at my org. Monthly quota with a quarterly accelerator for the over achievers

I don't see a point in having a quarterly quota as a SDR - monthly goals are easier to manage for that type of role.

Monthly 100%. If you move this to quarterly then youre slowing down your AE's by a ton until SDRs start to cram at the end of the quarter

Monthly quota that is derived from quarterly quota. The monthly quota should be the main focus for SDR's, however if they do hit their overall quarterly quota that should 100% be recognized.

Woah, I am in the mega minority on this. I like having quarterly quotas for them. If they're blowing through anyway, might be time to look at promotions.
