Of course they are effective. Especially when you send an email immediately after leaving said voicemail.

I got a call back from a VM I left on Friday, so no, I don’t think they are dead. There is a time and place for everything.

Honestly, if we had the budget to send noodles to every prospect and then I called them I think it would work

Honestly, leave one voicemail and move on. Anything more than that is unhelpful.

Why is your username reminiscent of email addresses created by teenagers in 2002?

I'm secretly from 2002 and a teenager right now. What are email addresses like in the future?

VM is not dead.  And if you bother to call, tell them why.

Voicemails can be a great way to get a prospect to respond to an email and also know your number for next time you call. I think they’re very alive

I have a ton of success leaving a voicemail, telling them they can book time in my calendar link in the email I sent them.

anytime anyone thinks something is "dead" i always push back haha.

So I wouldnt say they are dead. but i for sure do not leave VMs every time. If i know i have a cellphone im more prone to leaving VM.

If I do, i try to reference an email i have sent or will be sending. And if they respond to THAT email, I consider the VM to have been successful.

Working with a prospect or customer, and they are waiting for responses?  Damn straight I'm connecting with them and leaving a very quick VM if appropriate.

I don't think a short, punchy VM is ever a bad idea.

I got a brutal one the other day though. I think he expected my greeting to be longer and he was just going to hang up.

"Hey, umm, I'll send you an email." *click*

Leave a VM on the first call— on future calls they will know who is calling after.
I go by 1-3-5-10
VM on the fist touch
Leave a VM if you called three or more times in the last 5 biz days
Leave a VM if you or someone else didn’t the last 10 times
Hope it helps!
