About 6 weeks sales cycle. I went through the Aspireship AE course, and made sure we had the guy from below the line (Product Manager) and above the line (CTO) on the calls to cover pain points for both.
During the final set of calls prior to sharing the proposal, I asked the PM to informally share where we stand on a scale of 1-10, and he said we're at 8. He was pretty confident with us in the approach and the discussions so far. I used to think I was spewing technical bullshit, but it turns out - I know my shit.
This gave me the confidence to shoot a bit higher and go above their budget (they were planning on spending only $15K), but closed them at $25K by uncovering the additional benefits they get by inculcating a certain approach towards developing their product, and how we've seen success in past projects.
Getting started this Monday, and I am THIS close to hitting quota and it is still just the first week of Sept baby.
