Reached out to the CEO via outbound email in Feb. He liked the messaging and booked a call. First call went great as he had his CTO on board as well. 60% of the call was more about weather, food, sports and what not. As I spend more time in sales, the fact that people buy from people they like becomes more and more evident.
The timing was a bit off, but they were keen to get started by June with a small trial. Things went well, and we're now working on helping them scale development on one of their products.
Closed this for $28K, and I'm sure I'll be posting a couple more wins down the line for this client.
