Had the prospect reach out to us for our product. I took the demo call with him, and he was doing this for his client (which almost always is a red flag for us as the agency in the middle is always clueless). Worked towards outlining the scope with him, and walking him through how we work even though he didn't qualify as per our internal guidelines.
Gave him a rough pricing on the call and post call email, and he said he'll come back to me after he's spoken to his client. I honestly didn't expect him to and had marked him closed lost on the CRM.
Lo and behold, my guy emails me 3 weeks later saying he's secured the bag on the client-side for the scope that we outlined on the call, and is ready to get started. Shoot me a contract for signature and how much I need to pay you in advance (if only my enterprise opps in the pipeline moved like this guy).
Signed as well as 75% advance paid and realized before EOD.
It's not much, but it's been one of the easiest wins in a long time. I also fully realize that he may have charged his client heavily which could be one of the reasons why things clicked so easily, but the work we'll do for him as part of phase 1 is tiny. Time to land and expand.
