Social Selling - any luck?

I'm trying to improve my social Selling on LinkedIn to drive more conversations and leads but it's been a pretty lackluster experience so far. Anyone have luck or tips to get lucky?

The key to social selling is using as many buzzwords as you can in one paragraph. I have a little formula I've devised straight out of the Gong playbook. Use the phrase "digital transformation" 3 times and then try to squeeze in at least 4 "robust algorithms" in under 5 sentences. If you can master that, you'll be hitting P Club in no time.

Dont forget to tag the 15 people who are the top social sellers that mainly post about bad emails they get and making polls every 3 hours.

That tends to drive more traffic or keep readers engaged longer?

Have you checked to see how big your audience is? Many people still do not use LinkedIn. Weird, but true.

The biggest battle is developing your audience. Spend every week connecting with prospects until you hit the max. Then post and comment on topics related to your audience!! I see so many SDRs and AEs trying this, but only posting about things they know (sales). If your clients are in IT, why would they care about the sales industry? Know your audience, build your audience, and engage them

Is the content you're creating worth reading/engaging with? Also, remember things like this takes time, you can't expect your reach to be amazing from the get-go, it takes time to build your audience and expand your reach.

It also takes time for you to really understand what it is your prospects want to see, what they relate with, and what makes them stop scrolling to see your content and interact with it.

Lots of tagging and collaborating with others to get more reach. Definitely depends if your ICP is on linkedin or not.

I don't do much social selling but sometimes I'll tag someone I'm trying to connect with. It's worked a couple times but I don't do it often.

It’s helpful around events or conferences to use their hashtags in your posts so that anyone searching by tag will find your content. It’s a bit of a slog to guild the audience but it can pay off.

I'm not a big fan of it. Pick up the phone and make some dials instead

My "Social Selling" is stalking people on the various platforms and then in prospecting, discovery calls, demos, what have you, slipping in subtle bits of info I've gathered through said online stalking.

For example, "Our product requires no technical expertise to utilize. It's simple but powerful and will allow users, like your 18-year-old daughter Mary, whose Social Security number is 600 11 1948, to better manage the dozens of inbound leads that your company gets on a daily basis."
Works like a charm.

I read so much about social selling, but it's all evangelists preaching social selling socially.

Makes me wonder if it's just all some big circle jerk amongst a select few pushing the narrative...

I mean ideally your network is built with prospects that would actually engage with your content, or provide referrals but that seems more like a full time job rather than just a tactic
