Social Selling- Feedback Appreciated

Look, linkedin is not going anywhere and i get that. I also like growing my network. What i dont like is getting a nice personalized invite to connect tugging at my heart strings like college alum, similar connections, really looking to grow with like minded individuals, volunteer orgs........ONLY TO RECIEVE A SALES PITCH immediately after accepting their connection request.

Spend money on the inmail or sell me as part of the connection request. Bypass these steps and you are dead to me forever lol.

I do run a lead gen team as well as a closing team, so trust i want people on LI and social selling but there are good ways to do it.

Anyone else have this beef with being sold immediately after acceptance or have experience as sellers where this acutally works? Am i wrong here?

You're not wrong - it's an amateur and obnoxious behaviour. If someone does that to me, they get deleted faster than I run to the liquor store when my bottle of Kahlua dips below 2/3 fullness.

It is, unfortunately, a bad practice and too frequent as well. I never do that, and when I get one, as it's a colleague sales person I give them a second chance, meaning I wait for them to follow-up. Is the follow-up is as bad as the first attempt, that's when I delete them.
