War Room Savages,
As much as we can’t wait for the Flash Sale event this Friday, we must discuss something related to the War Room and commission store with you all, today!
We’ve recently seen an uptick in commission farming cases, mostly from fake user accounts being created and used for farming. In the last 2 weeks, a bunch of folks were caught (including 2 leaderboard winners) and have been suspended from the War Room. Some savages have done an excellent job in policing and reporting such rotten apples (thank you!).
It won’t be a surprise if I tell you that 99% of farming users have one thing in common: unlike you, they don’t care about the War Room and what it stands for. We’ve seen a pattern repeat over n over again -
The user joins the WR with an intention of making a quick buck. They start spamming/adding 0 value-add content in the WR (like 100s of fake “congrats” msgs on real deal stories). Then, they abuse super invites by referring faulty/fake users and use these to upvote their own trashy content. Finally, they order a gift card and either abandon the WR or keep doing the same thing. SUS!
No value-add to War Room, no intention of helping the sales community, and no purpose of learning from the real heroes in the WR. Super SUS. This is not serving the War Room and its savages in any shape or manner. Which is why we’ve decided to remove the gift cards from commish store for now.
We believe this is going to have a super-positive impact by weeding out the farmers and driving quality sales conversations in the War Room. We need people with the right intention here for us to stay 100% focused on our mission: Make salespeople smarter, happier, and richer. And for that, we need to keep the spirit of the WR 100% pure.
Now I know what a few of you might be thinking - “those gift cards were super cool and I could order whatever I wanted“. Fair. Here’s So here’s what I’m proposing: Post the Black Friday sale event, we’ll start a Monthly - Start / Stop / Continue WR thread for refreshing the commission store.
- START: You tell us the new merch you want to start seeing
- STOP: You tell us the items you want to stop seeing
- CONTINUE: You tell us the swag you want to continue seeing
We’ll obviously have a limit on the max items. But this way, we can not only keep the bad actors at bay but also create something absolutely magnificent and unique together- an authentic commission store driven by the voice of the customer - you!
