Starting a new job advice

Not my first rodeo, but I didn´t have Bravado before.

Please share your knowledge and advice on whatever has worked, or that you wish you had done while starting a new job as an AE.

Specific context about my role: AE at a Series A startup (I know, but I did my homework and things are good), targeting Mid-market and Enterprise.

Thank you and love you.

Get a CRYSTAL CLEAR 30/60/90/and might as well add 180 plan.

Especially whenever I started a role, I was constantly thinking am I hitting the milestones I need to...I fell like I am still ramping up so is it okay I am still on the lower end for performance?

And the big one will always be, network with top performers. Find out what they do differently from what you are trained on.

show up on time, listen well, find a top performer and befriend them, put in the effort, rinse and repeat.

Act like the new guy until you see how things are done, keep your head down, focus up. Take the good tactics you see from people and make them your own. You got this!

Congratulations on the role! Together with the advice about 30/60/90 (180)- make sure you're getting on the calendar with all the members of your team, if only to shadow their calls/demos, etc. Find out who the top performer is, and focus on what they're doing to succeed. Read the case studies, or get the verbal run down if those don't exist. Understand your ICP. You've got this.

Maybe a remedial point, but don't bottle up questions. Ask them when they come to mind. In an A company, there are going to be all kinds of things left undefined. Get definitions.

Good luck!
