Strategies for contacting a ghost?

outside of hiring a medium, what can you suggest I do in this scenario:

end of august I was told by champion that "good news, we have budget and you were selected, please send over a contract for us to review and let me know what other next steps are taking place"

I have not heard a single thing from this person since then despite number calls, emails and LinkedIn messages.

-I try calling their number but they don't pick up
-won't reply to emails
-won't reply to linkedin message. it doesn't show that they read it but not everyone has read receipts enabled.
I tried emailing a colleague and also LinkedIn messaged another.
Am I fucked? we've all been ghosted before but I can't recall ever being ghosted this hard after being told it was essentially a done deal. this sales process started back in march.

Have your manager give a call off their cell. Often times our prospects don't answer us because they are afraid to give us the real objection/answer.

I am sure you might have thought of these, but just some tips that I use:

- Start a new thread, loop in multiple of your folks and their folks. Builds some weight to the email.

- Keep sending articles / whitepapers of random trustable analytics firm (mckinsey HBR etc) and say these reminded you of them / would be helpful to them in this evaluation. Just drop and leave.

- A loom / Vidyard video of yourself. A very candid video, ask what's up and what they need from you.

- Have someone else call / email. This is primarily for attention. I am not a fan of this tho.

DAMN this is super frustrating. I would keep looking for other ppl in their department to try and make contact with. maybe have your leadership reach out??

This has got to be one of the worst things in sales haha

Wow, that really sucks. That said, it's been a month - maybe they were on a vacation? Had something else come up?

I'd start a new thread and ask if everything's ok at this point. This is your champion, and you have a pretty good relationship? I'd be concerned for sure.

have you tried his Contracts/Legal dept? I have been in the situation before that a client's Legal group is holding things up and the client didn't want to respond till legal gave the ok.

Have someone else call, they likely will answer to a new phone number if they truly are trying to ghost you. Otherwise, a break up email like @Kosta_Konfuciusdescribed is probably best to elicit a response.

Have a paper contract printed, send it signature required to the ghost. Pay for the tracking so you're notified that it was delivered. Include a cover letter indicating your best phone number and times to call, email address, etc... to set a meeting about next steps. Maybe include a list of next steps and tentative dates in the cover letter.

Old school? Yes.

Need electronic execution of the contract anyway? Sure.

But it will get their attention. Unless it comes back return to sender lol.

Maybe they didnt have budget and its no longer a real opportunity and they feel bad so they are ignoring you.

You will most likely need to send an email with a "Seems like this is no longer a priority" or some form of a break up email.

Would it be out of the question to try and meet him in person?

For all you mail mergers out there, do you see more success emailing one DM or all DMs on a custom thread? I've noticed that putting all relevant DMs on one campaign that is 100% customized to their business has a much higher response rate (28% meeting sucess)

How many reach outs (email, call, LinkedIn, etc.) with no response does it take for you to take that prospect off your list?
