Struggling to switch off and leave work at the 'office'

Any tips on how people switch off? I feel with working from home I find it very difficult to leave my work at the office and I'm constantly thinking about work even when I'm trying to block it out with the most mundane things...

But can they build stuff too? If so give em a "honey do" list and keep em busy so you can have a glass of wine in peace. 😏

Oh hell no. The only tool he is useful with is software.

Have a life outside of work. I have hobbies and evening MMA classes and a side business. You gotta have something to look forward to other than work and Netflix.

Balance is the key. I struggle with the same issue. You'll just have to force yourself to relax

What helped me is:

- working out

- writing everything down so it does not need to be in my head (also to do lists)

- Having all work related stuff in an other room (physical distance)

- If possible make sure you have a different phone for work or delete your mail etc from your phone.

- Not that COVID is getting better and the sun is shining go for walks or drinks with friends

You have to get yourself a hobby that nearly edges out your desire to work. For me, that's mountain biking. If I'm not riding I think about my bike when I have downtime and thinking about how I can justify a second bike. It doesn't keep me from working, but it sure as hell gives me something to obsess over when I'm not pounding the keys.

Try and set clear start and ends to your work day. An example would be not starting work stuff until you've done your morning routine, then go on a walk, and when you get back home it's work time. Doing the same at the end of the day, stop working, go on a walk, and then when you get back start focusing on home stuff.
