Summer Destinations! Where is PTO Taking You?

Got some nice, warm weather today! Cracking a beer and starting to think of where to go this summer to reboot and have fun. We have 4 kids (6yo-13yo) but I’d love to hear where people are heading, kid-friendly or not.

Aloha, y’all!

Hi Neighbor. I'm in Scotts Valley. Santa Cruz is the best.   Everything is open. Redwood trails are iffy from the wildfire. Drove from SC to Half Moon Bay and was shocked at the burn.

We did S. Padre Island a few years back.

Mixed reviews.

I’d like to check out other areas and have heard great things about Destin.

Bought a cottage in the fall, next up is the boat and it's my perfect home away from home until int'l travel is somewhat normal again.

Yaas. Been wanting a pontoon boat for a long time now. Just a fun party barge to get folks on...made better with a pair of wave runners.

Need a few more deals to close! 🥴

Sounds incredible, though! Maybe even better than int'l travel, TBH.

Yes! I'm heading to Oahu next week with my wife and (5 and 2y/o) kids.

First time for us, but already thinking about going again in early December and bringing my parents for their 40th anniversary. Here's my barebones itinerary. We have a short list of food recommendations too, but not trying to over plan.

Itinerary Safe travels 5/2 Waikiki. Hotel and surrounding stuff after 2pm Check-in + Sunset cruise 5pm Waikiki 5/3 North Shore includes Waimea Bay, Turtle Bay with tide pools and Keiki cove etc. Food truck park etc. 5/4 Dolphin experience (kahala dolphin quest) + Sea Life Park Luau both booked 5/5 Ko Olina + Wakiki 5/6 Flight out at 1pm

But tbh - i'm wingin' the visa sitch brah.

I manifest this image: "I live in a condo in the sky in Brickell this June" - how *specifically* this is realized will be an adventure and i don't have all the details yet :)

There are few things that can compare to the totality of a sunset on an ocean. I'd recommend SoCal for anything beach related.

Plenty to do in NoCal but you're not gonna enjoy the colder water nearly as much!

Wife, kids and I moved to Texas 3 years ago from Arizona. In Arizona we would always go to Disneyland but since we're in between the two Disneys now, we're going to Disneyworld for the first time in May. The only person more pumped than me is my wife who has a countdown and constantly shows me things she wants to do there.

Sounds fun!

If you’re not already locked in, my humble suggestion is to flip flop the weeks; adult week second.

We did the same on a SoCal Disney trip...and came back from the kid week needing a vacation from the vacation. Haha!

We still had a ton of fun...but we were just totally gassed by the end.

I just went to Maui for Spring Break and it was simply awesome - I was only there for 6 days but the kids and wife were there for almost a month.  We otherwise go to the Agean See Side of Turkey - simply magical, the beaches and seas are amazing, people are hospitable, food is magical... but with Covid not sure its happening this year.

We're just renting a house about 5 minutes from the beach to chill.  There will likely be copious amounts of great eats, and some hot tub relaxing.  Not too eventful, as the goal this go round is unplugged relaxation/recharge.

100%! Such an easy drive. It's my first time down there so looking forward to it. I'll keep you posted on the wineries and restaurants we hit!

I heard the best way to get back fast is to stop in at the pharmacy for a fast pass through customs.
