Summer hours

Has anyone worked anywhere where people actually kept "summer hours"? I've heard of this as a thing, but never actually seen people log in less in practice.

Does it work?

What "summer hours" are most effective? Ending every day a bit early or "taking a day off"?

What does that actually mean? Leave at 3 to go drink a shandy? Half day on friday? Never heard of it, but I could be down assuming I am at/hitting quota

Yeah I think every company does it different. I've heard a lot of leave early on a Friday type things, but never actually seen it in practice until recently

Back in the inside sales days we had summer Friday’s. Had to complete a few metrics for the week (normally pretty easy) to get off anywhere between 1:30 and 3 depending on the day.

From what I understand, day trading is not something you can do when you feel like it/as a side gig. Successful day traders WORK at day trading 8+ hours a day. That's why I never bothered looking into it.

Studies have shown that 80-90% of PROFESSIONAL day traders lose money. If you're looking for a good way to stress yourself out and lose money, have at it! I'd be happy to compare my returns dollar-cost averaging into low-cost Vanguard ETFs with any part-time day traders.
