Surveys - Employee Feedback

Companies always preach that 'feedback is gold' and that people should speak up and contribute. Especially during anonymous company surveys. Do you trust them? Are you honest?

I am brutally honest in the feedback surveys. I shred what needs to be shredded, and praise what deserves praise.

While I do not trust the anonymity AT ALL, I do still feel like providing the accurate feedback helps the company identify problem areas.

Same here as well. Theres only been one instance where a VP called me in to 'just see what was on my mind' a day after a scathing survey response of his leadership. He was visibly angry and it was the final straw for me at the company.

This is the product I sell 😂

I think you should always be honest and the anonymity piece is huge for companies like mine so they won’t know who did it.

Yep! Almost all companies ask if there is a way they can find out who says what, but all providers will push back as it defeats the purpose.

Great news!! Funny that employers are sneaky and they want to know who says what haha

If your organization has broken your trust here, it's probably not a good place to work for. The basis of any good culture is Trust, Transparency & Communication. These are mutually exclusive to each other. Fuck one up and the whole foundation shakes.

I'm honest. If a company is going to fire you or otherwise railroad you for saying things they don't like in a feedback thing like that, they probably already are a pretty obviously shit company.

USUALLY management has good intentions with this stuff, but the lack in making any real change after getting the information can make people doubt their motivations.

I'm partially honest. I think if I gave my true feedback it would be pretty evident it was coming from me and I don't want to put any target on my back, although now that I just wrote that out, I don't like that I feel scared to give honest feedback....I should try and work through this...
