Swearing in the Office

Not sure if this is just my company or not but everyone is always swearing all the time. I feel like it is not the most professional thing in the world but I guess it could be worse. was wondering if other companies this is acceptable or not.

I think 80% of the words spoken on our sales floor rhyme with "duck", "snitch", and "hit", with an occasional "bunt" from one of the Aussies.

In all seriousness, I don't give a shit if someone cusses or not, but I agree there is definitely a certain degree of unprofessionalness. I'm all for cussing, but it needs to be effective. There is nothing quite like dropping an effective "fuck" when nobody least expects it. Overdoing cussing is just classless.

As a female who uses the c-word... I might fall into that classless category. However, it is solely reserved for the cuntiest of bitches. ;)

I mean, I get told you fuck off and get fucked by prospects all the time. It depends on whether you're swearing at a colleague or swearing out of frustration, nothing wrong with the latter imo.

We’re in sales. That means the highs are really high and the lows are really low. This comes with a loting emotions. Thus sweating to me is just part of the job. I would however tone it down if someone would take offence.

I agree that swearing happens a lot in the office on the sales floor. I think for many sales companies it is acceptable because it is the nature and culture of the job. If you went into a large Finance company for example they would all be wearing suits and acting professional 24/7 when in the office. It is just the culture of the different job types.
