Tell the propsect you can see they've opened the contract?

I tend to be pretty blunt in life and with prospects, which can be a strenghth or a weakness lol.

I've asked my colleagues about this a few times and always get "nah don't do that". They may be right, but wanted to ask the War Room.

Should I tell a propsect I can see they've been opening the AdobeSign? My instinct is on the positive side, it could cut through the BS.

"Mr. Prospect, not to be creepy, but I'm actually able to see that you've been looking at the agreement. Often times when this is happening, you're seeing something in there that you have a concern about, or maybe you're just still having hesitations overall. Feel free to be blunt, do either of those apply here? Or are you unsure how to physically execute the agreement/need to find 3 minutes?"

To be fair to those against this approach, the prospect I'm thinking of right now is older, probably in his 60s. So this could backfire if he isn't aware of this kind of technology.

I think you can do this over the phone, but via email, I would be extremely put off. Just as bad as "I saw you opened this email, so I'm replying while you're still reading it!"

I would pick up the phone, call them up and ask if they have any hesitations or questions based on what they've been able to review in the agreement. Cut the BS by simply going through the objection of "I haven't opened it yet" (lie) and make the assumption they're ready to talk.

Creepy via email, but I agree and think the phone works.

Tone will be very important.

Agree with the others, not a fan of those types of emails. Get on the phone, assume they have seen it and just ask what the hold up is.

I mean if it's Docusign they should know that it's possible to see that.

Chances are their team uses it as well.

But I agree with previous posts - call and ask if there any questions, reiterate on timeline etc.

Agree with the above comments. On the other hand, there may be a chance that there isn’t a concern or hesitation with the contract, but rather they are looking it over diligently. If they have looked at it multiple times, it could be other contacts at the org looking over it. I don’t think this should stop you from asking if there are things you can help address, but if they come back and say “no, still looking” or something like that, then just be prepared for that answer too.

They could be re-reading the contract, or pulling it up to show another officer in their company. Either way you won't know until you call. 🤷‍♀️

Ya don't do that. I'll ask my contacts to confirm receipt of the contract via email occasionally but if push comes to shove, call'em.

I’ve had this before where a huge company in the UK opened me email up during Halloween so I sent an email - they responding ‘that’s spooky I just emailed you’ I went ‘well Halloween is a spooky time! (I saw you opened it)’ They laughed. We had a good time.

"Now that you've had time to review the agreement can/should we schedule some time to address any concerns you might have?"

How do you all handle a situation where a prospect has a contract approved and is ready for signature, but one of their family members just passed away? Want to be extremely sensitive to the situation...feel there's never a "right" time to reach out and never want to be salesy...
