PREACH! Been here so many times, my skins crawling for you. I also love how management also tries to spin it as a positive for you when it's clearly not. I'd be much more tolerable if they just came out and owned it but the principal of spinning it is what sets me off.

Good luck!

Yeah- at the end of the day this goes in a negative column and you have to objectively look at the situation and determine if it's time to bounce or not. Is this the worst thing you have to deal with, if so maybe it's just one of those moments to suck it up and move on, but if this is just one bullet on an ever compounding list of issues then perhaps it's time to take some of those recruiter calls!

I'm myself just getting back into the market and taking some calls, its taken a lot to get me to this point but now that I'm entertaining the idea it's almost making the job easier because I am starting to not care about all the stupid shit.

Sounds infuriating and also sounds like its time to see what's out there.ย  Keep strong, don't make rash decisions, and do the best you can with the cards your dealt until your in a position to make a strong move.ย ย

Thank you, took me a week to start thinking straight, especially getting all these agreements/ progress/ verbals from my old territory. Gave me the confidence I needed. Search week this week โ˜บ๏ธโ˜บ๏ธโ˜บ๏ธย

Does this happen mid-year? If so, that really sucks. If they switch it up at the beginning of the FY, then every few years or so is common but not EVERY year. Would also suck.ย

Mid year, mid sales campaign, mid my mental health break lol. They hired someone (in territory) so it made business sense to boot me out

When looking for a new opportunity it doesn't matter what you currently make or what you used to make.

Shitty territories exist. Change my mind (or take a poll lol)

There is such a thing as a shitty territory/bad accounts.
55% Yes, we've all been there
8% No, you just suck at sales
13% ๐Ÿฟ
25% It depends on the product - some territories are good for product A but suck for B

If you join a SaaS company and thrive at the beginning due to inbound leads and good SDR and then sales start going down due to a change of SDR and less inbounds, does that mean youโ€™re not a competent sales person or does it mean itโ€™s time to move on to another company?
