down voters are marketing spies
Make goals and commit to them.

50 dials by noon. No exceptions.

Answer emails twice a day. ONLY. (10am - 2pm for me)

Set tomorrow's sched in STONE by 3pm. Anything after will be for the day after.

Simple things, gives you control and routine.

Also, gives you the ability to just say no.

330pm "hey can we meet tomorrow at 11 for a chat?"
"No, I'm booked for the day, let's make this a day after priority? 8am or 1pm?"

I love the only answering emails twice a day. Adding this to my calendar. Thanks!

I think it'll vary by role definitely, but for me, Monday mornings are identifying weekly to-do's & goals.

The real thing to put you in a great spot for a great week though is the Sunday house/room/etc clean, especially if you're WFH. There's nothing like a clean living space to get you motivated.

Heck yes on the clean-up, meal-prep is a big thing for me too on Sundays.

I do my planning a week prior (Friday afternoon). But I also have both a monthly/quarterly planning/goals

This is a great tactic.

We all know nobody wants to hear from us on Friday, anything said on a call is quickly forgotten, emails are put off and get drowned to the bottom of the inbox.

I do the same thing so I can hit the ground running every Monday.

Exercise first thing.

To-do list, prioritize.

And a team kick-off meeting to align on goals/gaps.

Have to second the exercise. Get a run in and listen to some podcasts for ideas for the week. Mental health and physical health are absolutely intertwined.

You may not want to (who does?) but take 15 minutes on Sunday night, without any distractions, and plan Monday only.

You'll end up spending more than 15mins, and planning more than Monday.

If you commit to an uninterrupted Sunday planning session, you walk into Monday ready to go.

There are a lot of good ideas here. The consistent theme and my opinion is that Monday CANNOT be the lowest productivity day of the week. Monday needs to be productive. Whatever that means to you, be it calling/setting up the week/etc. Don't fall into the trap of not getting motivated until later in the week.

In fact, I'm willing to bet anyone here... Go into the week making Monday your most productive. You'll be reaping the benefits through Friday.

Lil smooth jazz and 5 minute meditation before I make any calls is my go to. Checking the war room is also finding its way more and more into my routine🤣

Get up an hour early to spend time with yourself and not rush to get started. I always find my Monday is much more productive when I have time to eat breakfast and check the war room.

I think each role in sales will have a different metric for success on a Monday. For myself, I like to get all my 1:1's out of the way on Monday or Friday. Check in with the different team members and get a pulse on what's happening with the account. Customer facing calls usually dominate the Tues-Thurs landscape.

Get up
Get yourself in a good mood
Eat a good breakfast
sit at your computer laptop and plan your day/week
Create a to-do list in order of importance and work through that

I get my daughter to nursery, get back and get some music on and shake my little tush while making a good breakfast. I sit and eat that and have 5-10 mins to myself before going to my laptop.

I then feel awake, happy, and ready to get to work.

Monday for me is used for goal-setting and tackling those important things that you know will require buy-ins/actions from other people during the week.

my best advice is don't start planning the week of, its not energizing or motivational for most people.  use your time friday to reflect on your activity and goals from the prior week.  this will help you not carry work over into the weekend which leads to a slow start on mondays.  think about where did you fall short on your goals? that means you will need to pick up more the following week.  then start planning for the next week.  balance uplifting activities that you enjoy and that are beneficial for your business, with some of the "frog" (things you dont want but need to do) on monday.  having the plan already in place will help you get started faster and more effectively without allowing for as many excuses to keep you from starting

a few other tips for a fast start to the week:
-don't look at your phone as soon as you wake up monday.  try working out, stretching, meditation, etc but some form of self-care early monday before the day gets going
-the human mind tends to be more focused and creative in the morning, so allow yourself time in the morning to be focused and creative (deal strategy, messaging, presentations, etc)
-eat a meal with complex carbs and somme fruit to fuel you through the day
-schedule a call in the afternoon monday you are looking forward to, personal or professional, to keep you motivated.

hope this helps

Monday is a great prep slash goal day. Prepare for the week, make goals, then spend the rest of the day/week going hard and getting closer to quota

Burn Towns, Get Money
Wake up early.

Exercise. I prefer weightlifting. But you do you.

Spend 10 minutes being grateful for what you have, and another 10 minutes thinking about your 2-5 year goals.

EAT BREAKFAST

Plan your day / week. Schedule time to buffer any important events and schedule time to prepare for said important events.

Then schedule time for prospecting, talking to your manager, and making nurture outreach to your existing customers / deals in flight.

With the balance of the time, schedule some self-improvement exercises such as training or research about the problems you solve / your sales process / your industry.

All of the self-improvement time is secondary to customer / prospect needs, so this is where you can schedule meetings that pop up, but the time is already defended against someone gobbling it up for useless shit at the last minute.

I'm also a fan of using the Quadrant 1 VS Quadrant 2 method from "7 Habits of Highly Effective People" to prioritize my tasks on a daily / weekly basis. Make a hand-written list of Q1 and Q2 activities and execute against them thru your day.

Roll over anything undone to tomorrow and repeat process.

Depends what my Sunday was like. Lol. Lists. I love making a list at the end of each day so I can get to my desk and behave like an adult. Keeps me on track. Also love asking myself what would make today a win for me? And then it helps prioritize:)
