THE Rollercoaster that is... Sales!

How do you deal with the personal up's and down's of sales?

Last Friday I had 2 legal teams jerking me around with redlines etc

Basically almost destroying a large deal.

Ruined the weekend

Yesterday we were finally able to smooth one of the contract over and was on such a high and rush of endorphins.

Do you celebrate the small wins?

Exercise? Drink?

Tough to Ride the wave sometimes. High High's and Low Low's

Curious to hear how my fellow sales people deal with this.

Yeah celebrate the small shit for sure. Our dark and fragile sales minds honestly need it.

Just listen to "Ain't no mountain high enough" - Marvin Gaye and pretend its about your DocuSigns and closed/wons.ย

Detach yourself from the outcome as much as possible. Those highs feel great, but are not worth the lows in my opinion. To clarify I'm not saying don't celebrate the wins because you absolutely should, but find stuff you are passionate about outside of work so you don't let legal ruin your weekend๐Ÿ˜Ž

Always celebrate the small wins within a cycle...especially if your normal cycles are lengthy, 9+ months. Keeping a good personal/professional life balance is important. Sleep enough. Eat well. Exercise...all the things a doctor tells you. And drink!ย

Exercise does help to let off steam.. in both ways (celebrating or being sad). I like to get out and run without music, just let my thoughts wander, and by the end of the run (walk) I feel better
