Thinking of sending this to my hiring manager? Do it or DO NOT?

"Hi X,

I will be having a discovery role play exercise with you next week. Flora and Mark had shared with me some expectations, but I also wanted to gather your thoughts before the interview.

What are the things you'd specifically like to see during the call? And are there anything I should definitely steer clear of?

Thanks,

Matt"

The questions you have asked are fine...but not maximally impactful.

"How can I prepare myself to be successful for this opportunity? What are the key points you would expect me to cover, and what should I avoid?"

The language difference is subtle but shows your commitment to the success of the exercise.

These small language changes also show you’re determined. And it s exactly the language you should use with prospects as well, imo

It's always better to clarify so your plan and structure your flow (expectations should be known).

My two cents, it kind of feels like you’re emailing the teacher asking for the questions to the test. Plus if you do this, expectations will be high. I’d personally rather do my own research and impress them on the spot.
