Thinking of transitioning to Crypto focused sales company

Any advice? I've been told to follow the waves, and I feel like this is a hot space (I mean, look at the Coinbase IPO).

I don't have a sales background in the space, but I'm a quick learner and have average understanding of how crypto, blockchain, etc. work.

Specifically looking into Coinbase...anybody know much about their culture, sales environment, etc?

I think itโ€™s a great time to transition into the crypto space. So much happening and I genuinely believe crypto can eliminate so many middle men (banks, exchanges, brokers) but it will take time and innovative business to build the infrastructure for crypto to do so. Companies like Coinbase are growing fast and if you can get a job at one I absolutely believe itโ€™s worth taking the leap.

Iโ€™m no expert but the vast majority of people I know view crypto as a pyramid scheme. Lots of people will call me nuts for saying it but your total addressable market selling this is way smaller than any other product or service. Further, crypto buyers are speculative and likely looking for someone to boost them up so they can take the profit. The longer this goes, the crazier it gets. Like a Ponzi scheme. Also, entering a market to compete with the government doesnโ€™t seem like a great idea unless the government jumps in. Just look at weed. Compete with government and go to jail. When they jump in you can make money with them. What do I know, though. Iโ€™m an idiot.

For Cypto companies, Coinbase probably is one of the few legit/robust orgs that I would join - beware of others that might crumble. A buddy of mine worked at a crypto companies that was killing it and their downfalls came so quickย

I'd rather join now while it is still building and still fruitful rather than wait and see and be too late to the game.ย  You could learn quite a bit now being in that space and as every salesperson on here has reminded me, there are a million sales jobs out there you could always go back too if it doesn't work out.ย

Call me what you want, just sign the damn contract
There is a recruiting firm called Proof of Talent in this space. I'd reach out to them.

Has anyone taken any sales training from the Sandler Sales System? My company is putting me through their program right now, and it seems like they say the same thing over and over again...?
