What are your thoughts on HireVue when interviewing?
For those that dont know, HireVue is a recruiting tool I see more and more in place of phone screens, or in some cases, the step after, where you have questions pop up and then you have to record yourself(with a time limit and one do over)answering them, so essentially talking at yourself.
Personally I find them to be quite dehumanizing and it shows me that if they can’t make the effort to have a real person on the other end asking me these, than I really question the way they treat employees and how the organization is run.
Disclaimer: I have had (mostly) rejections after this stage and been moved on from companies that utilize it
