Thoughts on Outreach canning the SDR Bro

What are y'alls thoughts? I know we have to be extra PC in the software world but to me, this may be overkill? Unless I'm missing something?

Pure stupidity.

They probably fired him not for being racist but for the 17-point IQ he portrayed in the video.

Outreach only likes social media that portrays their narrative (like a bunch of sales bro’s sitting on a unicorn floaty across the Boston Harbor) - if you aren’t celebrating burning cash, and your 1000th round of funding, then they don’t wanna see it.

All companies only like social media when it portrays their narrative. I think a smarter play would have been to embrace, and work with the employee to see if they can be taught, then if not, it would be ok to fire them.

Worked there - not surprised they canned him quickly. Their culture is cult-y and aggressively positive, his attitude would have gotten him fired eventually anyway.

Well besides needing to improve his vocabulary substantially, he epitomizes the whiny gen x stereotype. I’d hate to see his reaction if he had to live in another country.

Definitely annoying. Great example of what social media does to people.

It's like when camera phones came out. All of a sudden the standard for what was worthy of a picture fell hard. Now with places like Twitter, TicTok, Facebook etc. the standard for what is worth broadcasting has fallen into the depths of stupidity.

That being said, calling it racist is beyond grasping at straws.

Definitely not Gen X, dude is Gen Z. Genexers are like 50. But I get Outreach's stance as the guy kind of came off as an imbecile but I think it's just the Tiktermybook life.

He posted several videos that showed he was on the extreme end of uncultured, you don’t go in someone else house and make fun of the furniture

Don’t have to share every opinion you have 😂😂😂

Gotta know when to stfu and learn with your eyes and ears

He’s wording came off racist “these people”, but I thought he got fired based on his confidentiality agreement

Yeah no, the company is wrong for firing the dude. I watched his video, he said nothing racist. If anything, he was having a culture shock. Tired of this pc work force. If I were him, I'd sue the sh*t out of that company.

I think the reaction was a little too extreme. Shouldn't have lost his job imo cause he didn't mention the company or his job.

Sure his vocabulary wasn't great, but it also caters to Tik Tok's algo (and why it got popular). His personal social media isn't owned by the company.

On the other hand, it makes the company look bad and we live in a very PC environment.

I thought firing him was extreme too but if someone hypothetically caught me saying racist shit and knew where I worked, yeah ,I could and should get fired. However, in this case, I didn't see anything racist. He comes off as a tool though

LOL what a tool, should he have gotten fired for that video though, no.

I think people are forgetting that he posted his offer letter to social media and that was explicitly what he was fired for. Outreach probably wouldn’t have found out if he didn’t make a ridiculously dumb video.

Also would any of you AEs really want this guy talking to your prospects?
