Thoughts on the BaseCamp Drama?

I have had many debates about the Basecamp drama.

I am curious what other sales ppl think.

I understand where both Management and employees are coming from but I dont know if the employees reaction was necessary specially when the founder apologized and reversed the policy. Otherwise, leaving would have made sense

I see the merritt in being apolitical... but no. Don't personally agree.

A company has a vision and values. So their employees must buy in and agree to live those values (on the company dime).

They did give employees an option to leave as they realigned their vision and values, that's fine.

But in this day and age, for the talent that remained, it's a clear bait and switch. Sold a bill of goods.

Don't care. We should spend more time focusing on important things ie homelessness, environment, animal cruelty, etc.
