Thoughts on War Room members asking for job recommendations?

I feel like most of my TL now is people asking about new job opportunities and wanted to see if others felt the same way.

It is a sales forum and jobs are always going to be a topic. Just need to stay calm, stay anon, and press on.

Lots of people who post for jobs are brand new and just saw a posting on LI, I dont blame them for being confused and posting about getting a job

Agreed. I do think the Bravado job postings are incredibly misleading.

I think it's okay to ask for it here, I wouldn't blast my LI network for recommendations if I currently have a job.

It would be nice to be able to have threads or sort bravado more like reddit so that repeated topics could live in different tabs.

Used to work for a discussion board company - always had topic areas for posts. This kind of open threaded system is interesting.

I think I can get behind a separate tab, I just feel like the main war room isn’t really the spot for it. Maybe like a networking tab or something, because I am down to grind a referral check, but only at certain times.

While I understand this could be something, I think that just having another tab would be redundant. There is a "Jobs" tab already that is pretty straight forward.

not to be that guy, but your first post was about job help as well. it's a natural trend. keep putting out comments and posts about things that interest you and you'll get more engagement that you want.

I think it's the way people are going about it., Sharing their LI profiles, asking for others to doxx themselves...

WR needs to smack new users in the face with the rules when they join. Geocities pop-up madness if necessary.

A community can be multi faceted and functional. People are going to want to discuss what matters to them so yes. Personally I’m fine with it and if people need help in their career and it costs me nothing I am happy to do so
