[Thread] What's the biggest deal you've ever sold?

I love hearing about the highlights of our sales career. The moments where all the crazy hard work pays off, big.

My biggest single contract was Virgin America for $2.4M. It was an advertising campaign; they wanted to promote their famous "safety video" that was more like a rap music video.

I saw the video on a flight, thought it was hilarious. Hunted down the VP Marketing and shared my experience. Told her it was the only time I'd ever shared a corporate video with friends organically. She told me all the "actors" were actual VA flight attendants!

Ended up chatting for nearly 2-3 months before their next big ad buy. Got a $200K test budget, worked hard to deliver results and shared weekly custom reports that I made in Keynote. Took like 2 hours each.

6 months later, we landed the massive contract. For perspective, YouTube "only" got $3M. So we got almost 80% of the budget of the largest video distro in the world. ๐Ÿ’ฅ

A lot of shots occurred that night. Yolo.

The main deal I had committed for the quarter fell through but, fortunately, I was able to pull this deal in quicker than expected to backfill and it was a higher contract value than the original deal.

As part of the mid-market team, it felt good closing a bigger deal than some of the enterprise reps had ever closed.

I canโ€™t name names unfortunately.

So far the biggest standalone was $7.25m, but I did close two deals under the same project and to the same customer that total ~$12.3m

mine is with the major food delivery company for MiddeEast Africa selling three destinations each bringing in a total of 415k USD in revenue.ย
Nothing Fancy done kept sending emails and follow ups until I got a response after the 18th one. Then got their numbers to persuade them to test our platform. It took like 1 year and 6 to 9 month until I closed it 2 weeks ago.ย
It's more a story about persistence than skill. I had a job offer 5x the salary I had but I felt that I couldn't leave my company without closing this deal it is very important for the company which only generates in the ballpark of 30 mill revenue a year.ย
Paid off got my recognition and I feel very validate as someone who takes the whole sales cycle from hunting to closing.ย

$1.1M TCV. Took me about 2 years to close as well. And honestly I shouldn't have won as there were much better solutions for them out there. But I had done so much research that I could build every presentation around their corporate objectives that kept moving the deal forward and playing to my strengths. Didn't even get commission for it though lol.

I sold a supply chain planning transformation deal to a major retailer for $3.6M TCV on a 3-year subscription. $5M in Professional Services split 60/40 between my implementation partner and my team to get it installed over 18 months.

Currently working on a bigger one right now, but that's my biggest win to date.

$4.25 TCV (4 year contract) Cloud Identity Management solution to global it outsourcer. Took about 2 years of on and off conversations with a lot of people to even kickstart the project, but got there in the end.ย
