Big rocks.  

Many things in our lives require a level of prioritization.  Prioritize the big rocks.  Schedule them.  Work on them.  Get them done.  As items require less prioritization move them down the list, delegate them to others or remove them entirely.  Focus on what you can control and leave the rest to others.  There are so many variables to your question that it is impossible to answer here.

Read about the Stoics.  They have written so much about this stuff it is extremely valuable.
