Time to start talking basketball with prospects?

I don't know about you guys, but I've been waiting allllll week for March Madness to start so that I could start mentioning schools in my outreach. In past years, I've had people email me back and mention nothing about the perfectly worded product update I sent them, but will go on for days about how their college team just upset whoever they were playing. No it doesn't turn around into immediate sales, but does wonders for my response rate

Funny how that works! I had a prospect that was SUPER into curling during the olympics this year, guess which sport I watched like everyday lol

If it works, go for it.

A couple of years ago, when I was elsewhere and leveraging Alyce, the #1 responses were when I was able to send a favorite team item (Seahawks Mug, Giants blanket, etc). Boom, response. If you're able to fold that in, more power to you.
