The customer's location, hands down. Eliminate confusion.

If there is a single timezone being invited, I always customize. If there are multiple timezones being invited, I always do Pacific time as the standard (my territory is PT so I assume the majority of those invited will be PT as well).

Always change it...it's a small effort to at least let them know you might actually care. lol

Match the customer's time zone. I don't trust them enough to not screw it up, so I make it as simple as I can for them.

I am EST and most customers are too, but if it is a different time zone, I always include both to avoid confusion- 4pm EST (1PM PST). This helps with the few customers I have that work in PST offices from scheduling errors so we know when each of us will be available and to avoid super early/super late calls.

In any communication with customers I use ET and the corresponding time zone time they are in. I also only use the 24 hour clock when coordinating with customers to avoid confusion so it typically will read like this:
"Looking forward to our call at 1330 ET (1030 PT)"
I don't use the 24 hour clock outside of customer communication typically.
