I'm starting a sales job in an IT company end of this month, and would like to ask/would appreciate any advice you can give me when it comes to cold calling/first call - intro of yourself and the company, etc. (the end result, of course, is scheduling a meeting).
I am in sales for only 3 years so far but was not that much on the IT side, I sold some solutions for several months but it was mostly email activity. Everything else sales-related I've done was only through cold calls, so I am experienced but am having doubts to be honest since it was never products like these, more on the tech side.
Anything starting from intro to people and articles I could listen to or read would be appreciated and I truly hope I will not be made fun of for this :D.
