To all SAAS Heros !!

What would you recommend to someone who's been great at selling conventional services and is thinking about turning to SAAS and how he/she could make a successful transition ?

(If you could also recommend any blogs , videos , playlists, or courses, that would be so helpful!)

so i would use the search bar first. then look at the academy tab.

here is what I tell everyone:

1. look at software product you use currently. are they hiring? your experience as a customer could be valuable.

2. do some research and understand the language. for instance in Saas, ARR, MRR, ACT, TCV, are all important.
(Annual Recurring Revenue, Monthly Reoccurring Revenue, Annual Contract value, Total Contract Value)
So understand how to translate how you talk about your deals and sales process into theirs.

Exactly what tennis says. You can find the search bar using the web instead of the app.

Your best route into SaaS would be selling a product that relates somehow to your current industry/skills that gives you an innate ability to connect with prospective customers (possibly even ones you already know) by being able to articulate their pain.

Selling accounting services? Look for roles at accounting software companies.
Working in insurance? Insurtech!
Selling marketing services? Martech!

This gives you a real advantage going into your role. Couple that with a commitment to learning way more of the SaaS sales side once you’re on the job and you’ll have found your way in!

Good luck!

You might take a look at aspireship, and any other free bootcamps. Do NOT go to a paid service because there are many that are scams.
