Too many CRMs + Techstack that causes communication loss - Bane or boon?

All the companies I have worked with so far have had a lot of techstack, except the first company. I found myself at ease (not at scale) but now I have so many tools at disposal that it's causing process + content lapse. Salesloft, Salesforce, Husbpot, Lessonly, Calendly and Chili Piper both, Notion and what not.

I don't know if it's a bane or a boon or the company is just experimenting.

one thing that I have learned at my current gig that does not have alot of tech, is that tech does not make a bad process better. And too much tech is for sure bad.

There is a ton of overlap in what you are using and im sure its costing the company more money than its worth.

a company first needs to nail down the best approach/strategy for them. Then find tech that will help THAT process get better.

Sometimes I feel like we get tech to start a new process which can lead to it not being used well or adopted well.

I think this absolutely is bang on. there's overlap + lapse of information as well from one CRM to the other.

Process is fractured for sure. Wait till I get to the "head of sales" to fix it all. :p

Tech for tech’s sake is the bane of my existence. Thank goodness we got rid of the video platform.

Get someone with a "growth" title in. They'll cut tech stack into 1/2, 2X the savings, 4X their own salary and label it as  growth.

I definitely see some overlap in your list. Tools are helpful but only when configured and administered properly.

Salesforce alone can be the biggest band unless configured 100% correctly for your needs. Otherwise it’s the biggest headache.

Convoluted tech definitely slows things down quite a bit.
