Top Engineers are to Facebook, Google, Apple, as Top Sales Reps are to __________?

Facebook, Google, Apple are the most prestigious places to work for engineers. They pay top dollar, include amazing benefits and often you're around brilliant people. So, what companies are the most prestigious for sales people? Where do the superstars go work?

I know some might say Gong but they are young and their OTE is average.

Take a look at repvue.com for insight on 'best places to work as a salesperson'. This is not a sponsored recommendation - I look at it frequently to identify possible career paths.

Gong just have shit-hot marketing and are in-form. Same with companies like Chili Piper and Deel. Frankly, any business where the sales reps claim to be doing 284% are either a) lying or b) their targets are too low and they're about to be re-evaluated.

Thank you for sharing. Any companies stand out to you on Repvue right now?

Sprout Social seem to rank well, despite the fact that I’d never heard of them prior to Repvue. Zoom have grown a lot in the last year so worth checking out, and they score highly. In terms of product I think ZoomInfo offers a lot.

In terms of prestige and solid engineers it’s going to matter where you’re based. It’s worth shortlisting high-scoring companies on the site, seeing what their presence is like in your area, and going from there. The companies listed in your initial post rank well (though Amz sales people seem to hit target less consistently than the others) and Google’s OTE is sky. fucking. high.

Thanks for sharing!

After some due diligence on Repvue, it seems AWS, Microsoft, Google, Okta are the most prestigious companies for sales people. I don't mind a tough quota, I'm a go getter!

Looks like Google has the toughest quota at 60% of reps attaining quota, while Amazon has around 70% of reps attaining quota. ZI is a great company too, but their pay is noticeably lower than the companies mentioned above.

Here's a link for top 20 sales companies. It kind of reminds of a top 20 university list.  https://www.repvue.com/companies/toprated

i think it's very temporary. It's about timing in Saas. That sweet spot: A lot of it hangs on current leadership, "brand", momentum, product maturity/fit and crazy growth with good territories. So whatever the answer is, in 12 months it may be different.
maybe Salesforce was this at some point. now it's just overkill by process. Same with ServiceNow, MongoDB.

Some companies I have heard about more recently were AppDynamics (pre-acquisition), Snowflake, Zscaler etc..

Helped my wife with an MLM for several years, not anymore.
We have an Australian Labradoodle dog breeding business too. $3100 a pop, so it’s a solid hustle but a lot of work.
I’m also a musician (guitar and vocals) and a photographer (portrait and wedding) so I’ll pick up side work whenever I can and as my schedule permits.
