I'd recommend bringing some gun or a cough drop or something, the air on planes is painfully dry already - and the damn mask just makes it worse (I know, I'm whiny, but always wear the mask)

Not whiny I think it's a good tip. Now if I could figure out how to prevent the maskne aka mask acne. 😎

In regards to traveling, it's pretty much the same out there as it always was, just with masks now.

Regarding client meetings, asking consent for anything COVID related is huge. For example, even if you know you're both vaxxed up, be sure to ask for permission to remove you mask, and in a way that makes it clear you really are willing to keep wearing it.

People's responses to COVID vary wildly, and by letting them set the rules you can avoid missing out on a great opportunity by making assumptions.

We aren’t allowed to spit in our clients mouths anymore. Covid ruined everything.

None of my customers are wearing masks (one or 2 here or there maybe) and they don't expect anyone else to be either.  I think everyone is just kinda over the whole thing.  If they're in the office to begin with, willing to have a meeting with me, then it's kinda obvious they aren't really thinking about covid anymore.  At the sales calls, it's like life before covid.  Out in town or back at the hotel?  Completely different story.

Our product is more on the technical side, and since I sell to some of the top Fortune companies, I find it is better to bring an SE than to have to punt on questions I don't know.

My SE is a better coach than my manager. He actually sees me on the field day in and out, and offers tactical advice I can implement immediately.
