Two LinkedIn profiles for two jobs?

I have a 9-5 sales job and I'm looking for an additional sales job. I want to do prospecting on LinkedIn for both.

Should I create a second account, maybe with my maiden name instead? Make up a totally different name? Put both jobs on my profile and try to sell both at the same time?

The obvious answer would be "have just one awesome sales job" but right now I really like my 9-5 and just want to find ways to make additional money.

Keep the same profile and put your side hustle up alongside your 9-5. I am a ski boot boot-fitter in the winter for a local shop...it's not on my LinkedIn, but it's something I really enjoy doing, and I end up using the extra cash for more ski shit. However, if I created a side business out of it that was my own, I'd toss that up in a heartbeat.

Completely agree this is the move. Most people have their side hustles listed on LI. Two pages could look deceptive, so I'd avoid that.

I like this idea but I'm wondering what to do for my headline.

People reach out all the time for consulting roles, if you’re willing to work weekends there’s companies that look all the time

I currently am interviewing with two companies for part-time sales positions. I'm just trying to think ahead and figure out how I'll prospect on LinkedIn if I already use my LinkedIn profile to prospect for my first job.

I think it depends how close it is to your normal job.

I actually have two linkedin profiles. One for my sales/corporate life and another for my football/soccer coaching. Neither have information about the other and it would be an absolute clusterfuck of a profile if I combined them.

Never had any issues, the opposite actually, and most people from each life don't know about the other.

Do you have the same name and location for both? I worry about people searching for me and finding both my profiles, since my name is unique.

I do, mate, but that’s why I was saying that it depends on how close the 2nd job is to your main job.

mine aren’t connected at all and have no overlap.

I do have different profile pictures if that matters?! 😂

I don't know if 1 or 2 profiles is better because I barely use LinkedIn. The only thing I would say is if you do use 2 profiles, using your maiden name sounds like a better idea to me than making up a totally different name.

Find one, there are lots of sales jobs out there for marketing agencies, coaches, consultants, etc.
One of the jobs I landed has inbound leads coming from Facebook ads, and my job is to close them on a $3200 program for $600 commission. And I can choose whatever hours I want.

Look, I'm a contractor and right now the way Im planning and hopefully will do it is that I have my full time job as an AE where I do prospecting and what not.

The other position I TRY to get would be CS/AM roles where I don't need to use LI as much and it's more growing existing business.
