Upmarket

What did your upmarket progression look like?

From SMB to Mid Market? From Mid Market to Enterprise?

How long were you in each role?

I know not everyone's path is the same, but I would love to hear some different experiences.

I think each company is different, but you want to have enough time in your role to have success and get a variety of experiences.

All within the same company. I worked my ass off early on to build some good will with the higher ups. When roles eventually opened, I have always communicated interest and luckily was in the good graces of our executive team.

Lots of disagreement and months of not knowingness. Depending on the size of the company, in my case anyway, it’s a random one. I guess, send that email to ask for that role.

This is interesting to see but there is no way you can compare your experience to anyone else's experience. Each organization is going to be very different.
