URGENT!!!!!! Interview at Deel

Hello my beautiful savages, sorry for the urgent post but I cant find the search function anymore on here as I saw something about Deel weeks ago and I cant find the post..

I have an interview today with Deel, are there any AE's in here who work there and can help out with any tips or advice?

Not going to get my hopes up as I have been savagely dropped from another company I really wanted to join at the final stage and it ripped my heart out..

I have done prep to a good degree on product etc, I think based on Glassdoor that it will be a pretty basic standard interview though...

Any help welcome and appreciated!

Thanks savages :) x

Is this the same company that is notorious for only hiring female smoke shows? Could be getting my wires crossed but I think it is

Pretty sure it is. Or at least conventionally attractive people over all.

It’s a very transactional sell from what I’ve heard, not that I think that it’s a bad thing (!). Pretty good living for reps in EMEA, not so sure on the US. Heard the sales culture is very, very intense though — not quite a revolving door, but close to it. Also encourage reps to be active on LinkedIn as well as other socials (hence the ‘live your life anywhere bestie!’ vids)

Thanks for asking! Well, I think it went quite well.. He said they have a few late stage applicants.. I went all in though, I asked if there were any reservations on taking me to the next stage and he said that the recent moving around is not what he wanted, he wanted 5 years.. I said I will give you five years plus and dealt with the objection, also that deal size I am used to is smaller than their large multi years, I fluffed this up a bit because I have only just learned that our actuall ARR is huge its just the subscription fee thats fairly small (Another reason I am getting shafted by my company)

All in all, I went all in and gave it my absolute best shot and worst case I learn from the experience... Specifically I will change my CV to show the actual ARR I have bee creating with my current job... Which is in the millions.

An old friend of mine is an enterprise AE there, hes put in a good word for me but I have no idea how much weight that will hold.. I followed up with a strong email but I was considering sending one more today prove the ARR I fluffed yesterday, what do you think? Another email may be too much?

He wanted 5 years tenure at your previous role?

A lot of people do now, some hiring managers seem to think it's a shortcut to finding people who are gonna be at their company for 5 years also.

I recently interviewed with them for an AE position, and the best and most important advice I can give you is to ask for the job and close them on why they should choose you. This is a minimum requirement.

Also, they have specific information they are looking for, even if they are asking you very open-ended questions. Make sure to be very targeted and data-driven in your responses, and you may even want to confirm you've answered the questions in the way they're looking for. Good luck!

Thanks man, I didn't get the job, I didn't ask for the job at the end, maybe this was one of the reasons she didn't hire me

Man I'm sorry, but the fact you got an interview at all speaks volumes and I am sure you'll find something else soon. I had a very bizarre interview with them, and I get the feeling the hype has changed their process to where they have very unrealistic expectations.
