My sister recently got a job as a BDR in tech and had this happen to her today, with less than 24 hours notice for a high-quality account. Prospect has not responded yet to the change request...

I’m assuming the reason for reschedule wasn’t very good? That sucks if that’s the case. However, if the AE had another meeting booked at that time or an emergency comes up, I understand.

To clarify this complaint is around cancellations that happen after the meeting time has been agreed upon by all parties, not in-flight coordination.

BDR here. Yeah that can be very annoying. The best “reason” I got from an AE to push a meeting was because they were getting a haircut.

I mean, I've had an SDR try to schedule me a 7pm EST meeting for a client on the West Coast because "thats the only time they want to meet". My calendar is clearly marked to not book anything after 4:30 sooooo....yeah, I asked for a reschedule.

Our SDRs are also suppose to provide some baseline qualification information before we take a call with a prospect. Makes me a little crazy when they book a meeting without getting any of the info that they're suppose to collect and say "don't worry, I'll get it later".

Buuuuut, there aren't many leads that I won't convert, so the SDR team seems to be a pretty big fan of me haha
