Using Company Benefits Before Leaving?

Hey Savages, I know this question is sort of a piece of shit thing to ask but I'll ask it anyways.

The company that acquired my company is offering us $1000 to set up our Remote Offices. My last day is Friday. Do you think I could get away with using the benefit before I leave? Or will they fuck me with the bill?

It's a virtual credit card issued through Benepass.

Lol I got a $600 chair and a $200 monitor from my old company before I bounced. I did get them before my 2 week notice though, you might burn some bridges if people find out.

Yeah, my two-week notice has already been put in but I think I can get away with it due to the chaos of the acquisition. I just don't want to be on the hook for $1000 lol.

If you've put in notice already I wouldn't, they'll probably decline it or send you a bill and you'll look like a dickhead.

Or they'll take it directly from your paycheck.

Yeah I as much as I want to, I don't want to look like a dickhead. Great point.

If they don't know this - then absolutely try to use it. If they already know you're leaving I wouldn't do that. Best case scenario is you piss people off and burn bridges and we can call that an absolute W.

Yeah, I think the smart move here is to not use it. Don't want burning bridges being the best-case scenario when leaving a job.

Call me what you want, just sign the damn contract
That seems like too risky of a move. I think the most likely outcome is this getting bounced back to you.

If the notice is in I would not do it.
