Veracity of ZoomInfo Intent

Basically title. I’ve been really trying to leverage ZoomInfo the past several days and have been trying to prospect companies based on their “intent” score. Out of the some odd 5 companies I’ve been able to get a hold of, only one confirmed their intent; the rest didn’t know what the hell I was talking about. Am I just overestimating their “intent”, or is this data not very reliable?

The contacts they give under each intent are not necessarily the ones that searched for the specific product. They are only "suggested" contacts.

Yeah I think some random in any department could have clicked on the website and it counts towards the intent for the whole company.

My team has tested out both bombora (another intent tool) and zoominfo intent.  The data wasn't accurate enough (at least on our end) to keep using it. I'm in the fintech space for context

I'll take 12 Dan Prices and pay them each $70k after I give up my million dollar salary. Then, I'll make them all get haircuts after they perform the elephant walk in front of a giant screen that shows Walmart's stock price climbing.

Zoominfo, 6Sense, Bombora collect data that shows search trends coming from IPs that are associated with organizations.

Gives you an idea if they're preparing for a project or purchase.

Use intent data to figure out which companies to target.

I then use sales nav to find the people with the right titles.

Then export through the zoominfo extension.

You also need to make sure you're using the best intent keywords.

Think what a customer will search for, not what your marketing says.
